GOVERNANCE

Governance for all decisions relating to the development of the game and ecosystem will be controlled by a DAO on snapshot: piracypunksdao.eth. The ongoing development of the Piracy Punks project will be governed by the DAO and its treasury. The Treasury will be funded with 25% of all Primary Sales, and 25% of all Secondary Market royalties.

The use of these funds will be governed by the DAO and used to enhance the Community and ownership of the project through a number of activities including:

• The ongoing development of the Piracy Punks gaming ecosystem, and the Galleon Wars platform

• The investment of Treasury Funds to be used in yield generating activities & partnerships

• Treasury investments focussed on NFT gaming (game IDOs, DCL & Metaverse plots)

• Further enhancements suggested and voted for by the Community

The $veDOUBS token will be the governance token for the project and the more $veDOUBS you hold, the more weight your vote will carry. To increase your voting power you can either lock more $DOUBS via the User Dashboard, or extend the locking time to the maximum period allowed. Or both, to maximise your voting power.

At the end of each governance vote, bonus $COMPASS tokens will be distributed to all voters, based on the weight of their vote. The more $veDOUBS a voter holds, the higher the rewards they will receive for taking part in the governance.
